About the library

The Library of the Department of Eastern European History is primarily conceived for teaching and research work at the department and therefore primarily a reference library. Most of the holdings are written in the languages of Eastern Europe, with the largest portion of the history of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and its successor states (excluding the Baltic States).
