About the library

The Library of Comparative Linguistics is a lending library; however, no online orders are possible. Together with the Libraries of Slavonic Seminar and General and Comparative Literature, it is part of the Platte Library Network set up in April 2017 which maintains a joint lending library at Plattenstrasse 43, Room 002 (opening hours Mon.– Fri. 9.00 am – 5.00 pm).

  • Documentation of endangered, non-European languages in particular (Africa, Asia, North and South America as well as the Indo-Pacific area)

  • Reconstruction of an original Indo-European language
