About the library

The Thomas Mann Archives of ETH Zurich ensure and maintain the literary legacy of Thomas Mann. Since its inception in 1956, it has been open to teaching scientific research and the interested public. The stocks are continually growing. The institution is an archive, research centre and museum all rolled into one. Specialists and the interested public can access it free of charge. The Thomas Mann Archives operates a reference library; loans are not possible. You need to register in advance to use the holdings of the Thomas Mann Archives in the reading room.
